What is a Doggie Divider?
Simply, a Doggie Divider is a room divider or barrier made to prevent our canine friends getting where we don't want them to go! We use one on a daily basis to stop our lovely Miniature Schnauzer, Marley, having access to the living room while we are out (and eating everything in sight!) Of course, there are other room dividers available, but they seem to be mainly tall ones which also block out light and can get in the way, and mesh crate type dividers which our clever canines can claw open, but the main problem, being that as they can see through them, it doesn't stop the appeal to want to get to the other side. (I've lost count of the amount of times I have been to a fellow dog owners home and they have used a random piece of furniture or other item to block an entrance....side ways lying coffee table, clothes airer, unfolder cardboard box, just to name a few!) As Doggie Dividers are made of separate wooden panels hinged together, they can be supplied in various widths depending upon your needs e.g. our room divider has 10 panels to block the large arch opening between our kitchen and living room, where as a door way or to block stairs, it may be that only 4 or 5 panels are needed. Other advantages of the Doggie Divider is that it is a concertina design, so only takes up little space when not in use, and it can be painted the same colour as your room to ensure it fits in with your decor perfectly! Doggie Dividers are now available in 2 heights, standard - approx 63cm and, tall - approx 1 metre. Individual panels for the standard height are approx 20cm wide and for the tall, approx 32.5cm wide. All panels are 1.5cm deep.
